There's nothing at all plain about Plainfield. It's a town with a colorful past and the brightest of futures. A stellar school system, historic downtown, family friendly focus and rugged natural beauty has made it a favorite site for Krughoff communities, with Townhomes and Villas at Arbor Creek and custom homes at The Enclave and Hidden River.

It's a town with legs. Plainfield is the oldest community in Will County, and very protective of its small town friendliness, family values, natural resources and way of life. Downtown, the 24,000 square foot Village Hall welcomes new residents and the Plainfield Historical Society Museum and restored EJ&E Depot project community pride and offer new residents a glimpse at what it has meant to be part of this growing legend.
It's a natural for families. The Plainfield Park District comes complete with 41 parks, nature preserves, fitness centers and special programs. Fishing and boating the DuPage River are favorite local pastimes, with golfing at Wedgewood, Fox Bend and Prairie Bluff keeping pace. The heartbeat of Plainfield is Settler's Park, established as a gathering place for residents to feel a sense of community and a chance to participate in an impressive schedule of festivals and special events throughout the year. A lake, picnic shelter, playground and walking trails round out an idyllic lifestyle that no doubt explains the area's booming population.
It's a smart move. Plainfield enjoys, and has earned, bragging rights for its renowned and award winning District #202 schools, which outrank the state's academic standards.

It's a healthy choice. In addition to its nearly limitless
opportunities for outdoor activities and its devotion to progressive education,
Plainfield is served by a variety of first rate healthcare resources: Edward Hospital in Naperville; Provena St. Joseph Medical Center and Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet; and Aurora's Rush-Copley and Provena Mercy Medical Center.
It's easy. Plainfield's proximity to I-55, I-80 and I-88 offer residents easy access to all that is Chicagoland and beyond. With the charm of historic downtown shopping in both Plainfield and Oswego, and the excellent shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities along the Rt. 59 and Eola corridors, Plainfield residents need never feel disconnected, though many claim they have no desire to wander far from home.
