Located in the heart of
the Western suburbs, the Village of North Aurora
is uniquely situated along I-88 with two off-ramps,
Orchard Road and Route 31. Recent retail projects
off Orchard Road include a new Woodman’s
Grocery Store, a new Target and a new JC Penney
store, to name a few. In addition to development
along Orchard Road, there are many shopping
and dining amenities available along the Randall
Road corridor. Chicago Premium Outlets, located
nearby, features an unparalleled collection
of 120 designer and name brand outlets.
Recreation abounds. The Village offers
many parks and bike trails along the Fox River. It’s
park district, the Fox Valley Park District, is one of the largest
in Illinois and operates the nearby Red Oak Nature Center which
is a museum surrounded by 40 acres of woods. The Fox Valley
Park District also boasts a water park, Splash Country. Both
the facility and the staff have won state and national awards
for safety, operations and facility design. Splash Country features
the second largest lazy river in Illinois with 1,100 feet winding
through dumping buckets, sprayers, jets and a bubbling rapids,
two tube/flume slides, and an enclosed kid-friendly area with
spray guns, waterfall, and other interactive features for kids
under 48 inches tall.
Local festivals bring residents together for
family fun year round. North Aurora Days (held the first weekend
in August) is a celebration of local heritage that features
a craft fair, performances, games, food vendors and much more.
Other North Aurora festivities include an annual Pet Parade
and holiday-themed events.
A+ schools. Award-winning School District
129 continues to inspire educational excellence and residents
rely on the expert care of four major healthcare providers,
including office buildings filled with physician practices.
Keep the faith. Many houses
of worship are established in the Village, serving a variety
of faiths and denominations.
An easy commute. Pace bus service is
available around town and Metra train service to Chicago is
accessible via the Aurora Transportation Center which is less
than 10 minutes away from Randall Highlands.
